City Survival

Once again the Saskatoon Active alumni group put on their annual City Survival for 4-H members in grade 11 and 12 from across the province. Everyone in attendance had an amazing weekend. There were twenty eight participants from all corners of the province. The lucky recipient of the $250 bursary sponsored by Saskatoon Alumni was Bradley Hamilton of the Kyle Multiple 4-H Club.  Congratulations Bradley!!

The group had an awesome tour of the SIAST Kelsey campus and the students learnt a lot about the University of Saskatchewan campus. After the tour participants got ready for the banquet by going out grocery shopping. At the banquet on Saturday night participants showed off their cooking skills by bringing a dish to share with the rest of the group.  The meal turned out great and we found out a lot of the students know how to cook! After the banquet we went to the Field House for a dance.  It was a big hit and everyone had a blast dancing the night away.

The weekend was awesome and we had an amazing group of 4-H members and alumni members who helped make the weekend such a huge success!  A huge thank-you goes out to everyone with the alumni who made this event so great! As well, we are looking forward to seeing all the 4-H members who are in grade 11 and 12 student next year at the 2011 edition of City Survival.
