Traveller Report

From November 4th to November 8th fi ve member delegates, and one chaperone travelled to Toronto for the National 4-H conference. The member delegates were: Katlyn Cooper, Jacey Safnuk, Kelsey Richardson, Kaitlyn Yewsuk, and Rylea Eggeson. The chaperone was Wendy Rothwell.

The theme of the conference was broadening 4-H member and leader?s horizons. This was shown by various activities and speakers throughout the days. Our key note speakers were Mark Essay, Jim Dalrymple, and Margret Webb with diff erent views on agricultural issues. Some of the activities that the members participated in were: a tour of the TD Bank, CN Tower, John Deere Parts Plant, Niagara Falls, Mysteriously Yours Dinner Theatre, Puddicomb Farm, and the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair. These activities were very fun as well as informative. The members also had opportunities to learn about 4-H in other provinces such as the differences and similarities between them. The whole event was wrapped up with a banquet Saturday night with sponsors, 4-H Council members, and leader and member delegates. That night we had a huge dance which was a lot of fun. All of the members had a blast at the conference and enjoyed seeing all the sights and meeting people from all around Canada and the World! We defi nitely encourage other 4-H members to go on the trip!
