My experience as a Youth Advisory Council member

  By Cameron Choquette

Over the past three years I have had the pleasure of being the Saskatchewan Representative on
4-H Canada's Youth Advisory Committee. This committee strives to represent members from
across Canada through active collaboration and engagement with 4-H Canada's numerous
  stakeholders.

Through my position on YAC I have had the honour of sitting on the 4-H Canada Board of
Directors, working with amazing people from all over the world, and growing my professional

network by leaps and bounds. Meeting people has been the best part of my time with 4-H

Canada and has allowed me so many more opportunities. Thanks to my involvement with
4-H Saskatchewan Advisory Council and 4-H Canada Youth Advisory Committee I have had
the chance to travel across Canada and speak about the power of youth in agriculture and
how organizations can harness the power of young people in their day-to-day operations.

I encourage anyone with a love for travelling, communication, and agriculture to apply for the
opportunity to represent 4-H Saskatchewan on the 4-H
  Canada Youth Advisory Committee. Your
life will surely benefit from this amazing opportunity to take your 4-H career to the next level. If you
  have any
questions, please do not hesitate to contact me at cameron.choq@gmail.com and I
would be happy to discuss my time with 4-H Canada and the
positive impact it has had on my life.

If you are interested in applying for the YAC position, please find application forms HERE.
