4-H Advantage is a fully-bilingual, annual magazine with a national scope. It provides 4-H members, leaders, and parents with a snapshot of what 4-H Canada is all about! This year’s edition will be coming out in October 2016 and over 20,000 copies will be mailed out across the country.
In true “Learn To Do By Doing” style, we want 4-H members from across the country to be involved in the creation of this magazine. Therefore, we are spreading the word far and wide that we want magazine content straight from the talented and creative minds of 4-H’ers!
Content should relate to one of 4-H Canada’s four Leadership Development Pillars:
o Community Engagement & Communications
o Science & Technology
o The Environment & Healthy Living
o Sustainable Agriculture & Food Security
Although we want your articles to be related to one of these areas, you get to choose the rest of the details. You can write anything from a profile of a fascinating 4-H alumni to a personal account of your participation in a national 4-H program, event, or campaign over the last year (for example, the 4-H Canada Citizenship Seminar, a national or international exchange or the Proud to Bee a 4-H’er campaign). Please keep articles to 500 words or less. Visual artwork and photos should also be included as often as possible.
The deadline for all 4-H Advantage content submissions is August 31, 2016.
