Beef 4-H Clubs! The Ministry of Agriculture will be hosting Livestock Lessons Webinar Series that may interest you. Pre-register using the links below.


Requirements for Beef Cattle
Wednesday, October 15 - 12:00 Noon - 1:00 pm
Regional Livestock Specialists will discuss beef cow nutritional requirements, relative to the winter feeding period and physiological changes. They will also discuss the importance of feed testing.


Formulating a Ration for Beef Cattle: 
Tuesday, October 21 - 12:00 Noon - 1:00 pm
Regional Livestock Specialists will discuss feed test interpretation and how to formulate a ration for beef cattle based on feed test results and requirements for the winter feeding period. They will also discuss alternative feeds and economics. Body condition scoring will be reviewed as a method of grouping cattle for feeding.


Mycotoxin Contamination in Livestock Feeds: 
Thursday, October 23 - 12:00 Noon - 1:00 pm
A veterinarian will discuss mycotoxin contamination in livestock feeds, specifically Ergot and Fusarium.
